Is There Much to Do Around the Clearwater Beach Condo Communities
When people come to look at Clearwater Beach condos for sale they often wonder if there will be anything much to do when they are there. The answer is - a lot!
Obviously there is one of the main reasons they came there in the first place - the beaches. Clearwater Beach is one of the most popular in the country and besides the wide beach with soft white sand and the warm Gulf waters, there are numerous restaurants and shops along the beach and within walking distance. If you like volleyball, you can join one of the games that go one or you can watch local, state and even national tournaments.
There is no shortage of places to eat on the beach. You can find little Italian restaurants or more upscale restaurants like the Beachcomber right on Mandalay Blvd. or you can enjoy dinner and the party atmosphere in the Palm Pavilion or you can join the crowds at Frenchy's.
On Sand Key you have the Columbia restaurant which serves Cuban and Spanish food and on Island Estates you have the Island Way Grill which has great food and you can sit out on a dock on the water if you'd like.
You can also charter a boat for a fishing trip or take one of the tour boat trips from right on Clearwater Beach. There is a pirate ship tour boat, the Little Toot tugboat that goes on out tours and some larger boats that go out for dinner, lunch and/or dancing tours. I believe the Little Toot guarantees you'll see dolphins on the tours or your money back.
You can find some nightlife and dancing in Clearwater Beach but I have to tell you that it is of the milder version so if you want some truly exciting you will have to plan on heading out to either St. Petersburg or Tampa.
When you've had enough sun and surf you can head out to either St. Pete or Tampa which are both a short drive from Clearwater Beach and both have a lot of concert, sports and other entertainment activites going on throughout the year. Between Clearwater, St. Petersburg and Tampa you have 3 Spring Training facilities; professional baseball, football and hockey teams; and the International Plaza shopping center with a huge list of interesting and upscale stores to keep you busy.
There's also a lot to do when you have company in town and you want to do something more out of the ordinary. You can hop in the car and go to Epcot Center and Disney World - it's close enough that you could go there early in the morning, spend the whole day there and still drive back that night. Or you could go somewhere closer like Busch Gardens right in the heart of Tampa. And between the two is a Hard Rock Hotel, Casino and Cafe with entertainment, slots, blackjack and poker.
Unlike areas such as Miami and Miami Beach, Clearwater Beach condo residents have a more relaxing environment that still has all the restaurants and activities either right in the immediate area or within a short drive. Whether they live directly in the main beach area, on Island Estates which is a half mile from the beach and where the movie Dolphin Tale was filmed, or in one of the elegant high-rises on Sand Key they get it all. To help you get a better feel for Island Estate, Sand Key and Clearwater Beach proper you can watch the video up top that I've provided for you.
