Preschool Anger Management Explored
Yes, children, even those who are at preschool level, can have anger disorder, too. And these kids need proper preschool anger management programs in order to help them control their anger. In that way, the child would think that you are only acting fair when you straighten him occasionally. It is also very important that the parent teaches the child understanding and empathy. Nothing can beat teaching the child the proper way to conduct himself at home and in public and setting yourself as a fine example of how to act appropriately everywhere you go.
Children express their tantrums by lying on the floor, screaming uncontrollably, crying with crocodile tears, kicking, and sometimes by holding their breath. During these situations, always keep in mind that tantrums among children are quite normal and this is most true with children who are unable to express themselves verbally. Hence, they use the methods that were mentioned in order to attract people’s attention especially those who they feel can understand them and give them what they want. During the ages 2 and 3, the child already understands the context of the words “me” and “want” but they have not reached the stage when they are able to satisfy their needs and wants, hence the tantrums. Tantrums, or anger disorder among kids, are the result of amazingly high level of energy and the low ability to use words to express what they need and want. And most children know that they get what they want when they manifest extreme behavior such as shouting and crying hysterically.
When a parent learns how to manage these kinds of situation, then the child would eventually realize that he cannot always get what he wants by throwing a fit.
