The Talents That Make Up The Shaman Builds

The Shaman, considered the hybrid that perfectly fits the definition of the term 'jack of all trades', has three talent trees called builds that allow it to perform an assortment of abilities and skills. These are Elemental, a good Shaman build for players who prefer ranged combats over short distance combats; Enhancement, a preferred build by players who are more comfortable with melee combats; and, Restoration, which is a build recommended for players who want to have lesser downtime. Each Shaman build, like in all other characters, compose of different talents result in various gaming experience.

Here are overviews of the 3 Shaman builds:

{Elemental} - This build offers a range of offense-based spell casting abilities that allow players to deal damage against their opponents from a distance. In this build, the character relies heavily on its mana and as the character levels up, more mana is required to meet the demands of higher critical strike and damage output. Elemental Shaman players have different uses depending on the chosen play style of the user.

Elemental build is, overall, recommended for players who veer towards PvP as it gives the players better and higher damage output. Elemental Shamans come in handy in raid-type games, but they are mostly useful as general utility class. 5-man teams, meanwhile, may find excellent uses for Elemental Shamans as they have great buffing and healing abilities.

{Enhancement} - Enhancement build is considered the logical choice when it comes to damage output as it has the highest DPS among all the Shaman builds. Because of their capacity to deal heavy damage on opponents and mobs, they are excellent fighters in melee combats. But, they can also work excellently on their own, as they tend to have abilities that can easily wipe out small groups of mobs, and in raids, thanks to their remarkable DPS.

In addition, Enhancement Shamans contribute substantially in raids because they have impressive buffing abilities that work against melee damage dealers like themselves. There are, however, some problems when using Enhancement Shamans for PvP gameplay. Enhancement Shamans have difficulty surviving by themselves as they don’t wear heavy plated armors, they also tend to be quite susceptible to Snare effect.

Nevertheless, this disadvantage pales by comparison to the Enhancement Shaman's positive charcteristics. Its healing capabilities, while not its main talents, also make it a very attractive choice of character.

{Restoration} - The third Shaman build is Restoration – the build that develops healing abilities. This build also concentrates on reducing the mana cost used in healing spells and reducing the time spent on casting spells, while boosting the effect of the spells cast. Restoration Shamans are very useful as utility players in raids and as Healers of players who died in battle. There is one disadvantage to using Restoration Shaman though, it is not as effective in solo leveling and PvP as its counterparts as it has low damage output. This, nevertheless, is countered by its high survivability.
