Jim Tracy is not the only problem, but sorry, I couldn't disagree more. I've never felt that JT was much of an X's and O's guy (i.e. like a robot, he WAY overdoes the lefty/righty thing toward the end of games) ... but, even if I felt that he was the BEST strategic manager in the game, he doesn't seem to accept responsibility for in-game mistakes or failures (i.e. with an ERA of 8.1, why is it again that JT keeps running Esmil Rogers out to the mound?) Anyway, if you are of the opinion that neither he nor his staff can, in a meaningful way, affect the outcome of a game or the performance of players, then what exactly is his job? What are his individual performance objectives and shouldn't he be held accountable for achieving them (like the rest of us are)? Now, the coaching staff is clearly NOT the only problem with the club right now, but ... I wonder if those who feel that ownership has underspent, thought that the roster was an abomination BEFORE things started heading south? If not, then what has happened "in the clubhouse" that ...
