But in 1996, home video games consoles and computers with SD accelerator cards has replaced the arcade video games. And soon enough in 2000, network gaming via console and computers across the internet has appeared.
Those games that can be played through consoles or PC’s can be also classifies as arcade games as they carry the same qualities or are of direct ports of the arcade titles. Games in the arcade classifications have been designed for internet usage and runs automatically on browsers running on programs such as Flash, Java, or DHTML. Modern arcade games would really dominate comparing to the old arcade games since it is cheaper and more practical.
